Anti-reflective glass – for interiors and exteriors

The anti-reflective glass VISION-LITE has a transparent metal oxide coating sputtered onto the glass surface. These coatings have the unique property of significantly reducing light reflectance on the surface of the glass.

Values as per EN 410. The reflection values are measured at right angles to the glass. The reflection increases, as it does with conventional glass, when looked at from an acute angle.

2. Application technical notes

VISION-LITE fulfils all requirements of Austrian standards for display cases housing works of art. Anti-spall, UV-protection and light transmission of 98 % are required.

Generally all application technical of STADIP [>] also apply for VISION-LITE PLUS Laminated glass.

Under certain lighting conditions, surrounding influences and vision situations, it is possible that higher levels of reflection may be noticeable. In particular at extreme angles the physical principle of reflection is increased. The performance is at its best when the glass is viewed at a right angle (measured values) and reduces at flat angle to nil. We recommend not to use lighting which is position at acute angles to the glass.

The colour rendition of the residual reflection is dependent on the viewing angle. In particular with external applications it is important to evaluate the appearance using a large format sample in real conditions.

2.1 Handling, Installation and maintenance

We are unable to accept any damage which has occurred through not complying with these guidelines.

Recognition of dirt and scratches are significantly higher during the day when compared to float glass. We therefore do not recommend using VISION-LITE for tables or shelves.
