Design studio for LITE-FLOOR R and RTFVisualize the standard coating and their colours in full and partial coverage. In high foot-traffic application such as schools, stores etc. We recommend only full-coverage coating. It is also possible to create individual colours from our LITEX colour palette. Please consider our cleaning instructions for special colours [>]. Standard colour – partial coverage – BF 727WS |

LITE-FLOOR RTFThese products additionally fulfill the requirements of impact resistance and resulting necessary structural integrity to German standards and have a general construction permit. The type of glass to be used depends on the dimensions, the support method and design loads. The upper sheet is manufactured with a slip-resistant ceramic coating (tested to DIN 51130, BGR 181, UKSRG and ASTM). Dimensions partial coverage |

LITE-FLOOR Insulated glassFor thermal insulation, it is possible to manufacture all LITE-FLOOR Types into walk-on insulated units. It is possible to achieve a Ug-Value of up to 1,2 W/m².K. A suitable frame construction is necessary. Possible glass types are available on request. |

1. Application technical notesThe type of glass to be used depends on the dimensions, the support method and design loads as well as the frequency of foot traffic. Specific national, regional or local codes and/or standards for application of walk-on-glass can differ significantly. The purchaser is responsible for the prevailing requirements. 1.1 Structural dimensioningThe required glass thickness is dependent on the support method, dimensions of glass and the load condition and must be structurally determined for each specific application. The thickness tables provided on the right have been established through complete analysis based on the Austrian Standard ÖNORM B 1991-1-1. 1.2 Design notes
1.3 CleaningSlip-resistance can only be achieved with a rough surface. The better the slip-resistance is, the more the rough surface coverage. Abrasions from shoe soles, general grime etc. cause remnants to be left in the surface coating which can only be removed with extensive cleaning methods. We therefore recommend the lowest suitable slip-resistance with our standard coating to be used. Full coverage surfaces should only use design BFS910WS. For the reasons stated above we do not recommend the use of light colours. |

2. Processing2.1 Edge workingStandard is all edges ground flat (KGN) For edge working of all rectangular sheets (KGN, KPO) the corners are matt swiped. Subsequent treatment of the edges is not permissible. 2.2 Edge shiftWith LITE-FLOOR it is the same as all multiple laminated glasses whereby edge shift can be expected as shown in the Handbook Tolerances. A reference edge can – when indicated on orders – be produced without a shifted edge tolerance. 2.3 Cut-outsIt is standard that all cut-outs are made with a water-jet cut (KGNW). This is the term for an edge, the surface of which has been worked along its entirety with the water-jet. Water-jet cut edges have a matt frosted appearance. Cut-outs, notches or corner cut-offs are generally carried out using the water-jet cutting technique. |
