Directed Light and Solar control in Insulated units
Only the best from light – high light transmission and comfortable room climate for roof glazing
The natural light of the Sun is one of the most important aspects of life. The changeability of daylight provides us with important information about space, time and weather and supports our comfort. Its use is therefore a necessity in global, ecological and economical thinking.
With these unquestionable positive aspects – such as summer overheating or glare – also come undesired influences.
DLS MICRO LOUVRE controls these undesired effects by optimising the use of daylight in the respective building orientation of the roof as well as daytime and seasonally determined solar incidence. Besides the economical solution of DLS MICRO LOUVRE there are two other variations available DLS COMBISOL and DLS PRISMA.
Perfect lighting for exhibitions or workspaces
DLS MICRO LOUVRE guarantees uniform glare-free lighting. The micro-louvre integrated into the insulated unit is protected against dust and weather and offers only the best from sunlight. Only the diffuse daylight passes through the North-oriented louvre and with its light transmittance of 31% (diffuse measurement) provides the room with comfortable lighting conditions. A maximum of diffused light penetrates but it is uniform, free of shadows and cuts out glare in the room. At the same time, it reflects Infra-red light waves – the exceptional total energy transmittance of 14 % allows extreme summer heat to be effectively controlled. State of the art technology using thermal control glass PLANITHERM ULTRA N gives an U-value Ug =1,2 W/m².K.
