The new design of the Jewish prayer house which was originally built in 1903 Viennese University campus, was entrusted to the artist Minna Antova. Quite intentionally she resisted restoration of destroyed building elements and decided to make the history visible as „transparent knowledge“. The marquee roof, entrance and Thora-Niche are constructed of STADIP glass, amended from the plans of Max Fleischer.

The floor inside the house acts as a chronicle of different periods in time. The effect is enhanced by three sheets of screen-printed glass sitting on top of one another.
