In a world of permanent change and trend-setting, brands behave as orientation points for consumers. The Fashion Mall and Fashion Pavilion are more than exclusive department stores. They are architectural catwalks for the perfect orchestration of brand-named worlds.
The light-flooded glazed cylinder of the Pavilion with its elliptical footprint has become a landmark. The eight solid concrete columns make the glass block walls appear to hover above the ground. The exterior „glass skin“ provides optimum climate control through the use of COOL-LITE ST 150 solar control glass. The outer skin provides weather and climate protection to the existing glass blocks. The warmed air in the cavity is drawn „chimney-like“ up and out. The point-fixed glass sheets of SECURIT-H are suspended on rolled circular sections from the roof.
The building lets light in but is not transparent to view and is accessed via a footbridge. Window slots allow peeks inside.
