Festival hall St. Pölten

The lightly green coloured transparent glass which envelopes the “Grand Theatre” is backlit with reflecting light. From outside, it creates a giant body of light and internally it acts as the room separator to the multi-level foyer. The structure of the theatre is clad with ECKELT MULTI-POINT using LITEX fully coated glass.

The 1700 m² double-faceted, point-fixed facade is comprised of more than 600 irregular triangles and trapezoidal glass sheets. In order to achieve the exact cut size of this complex glass surface, individual drawings were produced for each 10mm thick ceramic coated sheet and electronically transferred to ECKELT, where the data was entered into the automatic computer-controlled cutting line.
