Gasometer B, Vienna

Gasometer B was designed by the Viennese architect duo “Coop Himmelb(l)au“. The outstanding signature of Gasometer B is the North-lying addition in the shape of a shield which improves living conditions by improving acoustic performance using CLIMAPLUS SILENCE insulated glass. The colour coordinated spandrels are PARSOL grey. Architect Wolf D. Prix wanted to set a modern accent in the Gasometer and at the same time increase the usable living areas. There is a performance hall, a private garage for the occupants, offices and a shopping mall as well as a medical infra-structure with doctors. The Gasometer B also houses student living quarters styled after Coop Himmelb(l)au.
