Humanic Mariahilfer Straße 1b, Vienna

In the re-design of the ground floor of Mariahilferstraße 1b in Vienna, the architect Hannes Roller paid particular attention to careful modernisation of the historic facade and decided to re-create the original 1900’s appearance.

The extensive and complex glazing – glass elements of 2.5 x 6 m weighing about 900 Kilo – using LITE-WALL MONO with point-fixed glass fins, it was possible to revive the magnificent store-areas on the ground floor making them visible from outside and with their modern transparency they provide the building with a flair that lacked in its original form.
