As part of the renovation of the counter area in the Raiffeisenlandesbank in Innsbruck, a glass bridge was erected, allowing the perimeter gallery of the hall to be crossed. The bridge is 13 m long and 1.6 m wide. It is suspended 3 times on each side from the existing ceiling above. In order to give the impression of weightlessness, lightness and floating elegance, the architect chose the perfect transparent material – glass.
Through the application of walkable glass elements – LITE-FLOOR from ECKELT – the counter area below has accentuated light effects which are enhanced by the individually designed slip-resistant coating. Creative applications and designs on glass surfaces – a complete range from transparent to opaque are available – can be used to give people an increased trust in the use of glass in such areas.
