Uniqa Tower, Vienna

„Lively, moving, opening itself, the building almost playfully grows over its height. In its basic form it carries the flow of the Uniqa Logo and transforms it architecturally", says Architect DI Heinz Neumann. Following a construction period of only 33 months, the 75m high Uniqa Tower was opened in June 2004.
The ellipse-shaped section of the tower is enveloped in a double-skin facade. The chosen angle with which the building opens upwards allows the lower levels to receive optimum light conditions. The use of SGG CLIMAPLUS and SUNEX products facilitated an economic thermal control value, keeping energy loss to a minimum. The application of the products from ECKELT GLAS guarantees that the 75 m high tower fulfills both economical and ecological requirements.
