SGG MIRASTAR [>]
Perception, experimentation, sensory deception, irritation and experience are the core aspects of this presentation in the Museum Villa Sinnenreich in Rohrbach. A journey through 40 artistically designed stations, interpreted and explained perception phenomena created by students in the „room & design strategy“ course at the Art University of Linz. The station by Franz Landl „walk-in kaleidoscope“ comprises horizontal, vertical and sloped units of MIRASTAR mirrored surfaces, which are accessed through a dark corridor. Visitors can light up the room using coloured light-wands and spot-lights. The light which is moved by the visitor is just like looking at a kaleidoscope where mirroring and breaks in the light create the most diverse and repetitive patterns. MIRASTAR was also used by Bernhard Reingruber in his station „Einsicht“.
