VIP Customer event - 25.6.2009
Steyr as a meeting point of glass expertise
For the Day of Transparency on the 25th of June, ECKELT GLAS invited about 200 selected customers and partners.
On the occasion of the 6 Million Euro investment – to secure and extend the production location - ECKELT presented itself transparently and provided tours for those interested around the complete production plant. All around the factual part there was also the exhibition of glass architecture to provide give a better understanding of the applications. On show were components and solutions to projects which have brought ECKELT GLAS global recognition.
Great interest was shown by the visiting experts towards the new and innovative glass façade of the administration building. As a working example of energy efficient glass architecture, the façade demonstrates the glazing abilities of ECKELT to create a living object. The ECKLITE insulating glass is held only in the vertical joints by tension cables and spans over 9 meters in height. The all glass façade fulfils the criteria of a low-energy house having a heat energy demand of 6.95 kWh/m³a. Comfort in summer is achieved using the motor driven louvers integrated in the cavity of the ECKLITE units.
Glass on the test stand and presentations of the multitude of services offered by our technical department as well as quality assurance techniques also proved interesting asides to the visual show.
With their humourous stand-up act, the cabaret-duo Max Mayerhofer and Wolf Gruber had everyone in stitches and the musical highlight - Saxophonist Andrew Young and his band – brought the visitors under his spell with some intoxicating rhythms.
Under the Motto: Sponsor, pick a ticket, win and do good.. our guests were invited to support the project “Druckerwerkstatt” Steyr from pro mente Upper Austria. Some of the sponsored prizes were attractive trips to some of ECKELT’s landmark projects. We congratulate the winners.
