Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2004 at ECKELT

In time for the International Environment Day on the 5th of June 2010, endeavours at ECKELT for clean operations with resources and waste have been successfully achieved. ECKELT has been certified by Quality Austria to ISO 14001:2004 - Environmental Management System.

The short preparation time of only 7 months was only possible to accomplish because attention to the use of sustainable products and environmentally friendly processes has been a primary objective.

Active environmental protection

We instigate active environmental protection. The working operations in our production facilities are set-up, regardless of location, with measurable environmental targets which are developed, established and regularly controlled. We are active with respect to the most significant environmental indicators to bring our production facilities up to the level of similar facilities within the SAINT-GOBAIN group and to better than requirements of local laws and regulations.

Production with lead-free colours

In our production of enamel and screen-printed glass, we take great care to consider the environmental aspect. In the preparation of coloured paints we do not use a single dangerous solvent. All of our BF (lead-free) colours are prepared exclusively with lead-free compounds so that no heavy-metals are exposed to the environment in their application.
