Incorrect or incomplete collection requests, as well as racks that are not fully ready at the time of collection, will not be considered as having been reported.

Guidelines for the collection of empty racks

Eckelt reserves the right to collect empty containers in batches for economic and logistical reasons. Notifications that containers are ready for collection must be given with reasonable notice and, in any case, at least five working days before the desired collection date.

Collection is generally carried out using a tarpaulin-covered lorry without loading equipment. The client is responsible for loading the MWTG onto the transport vehicle and for providing suitable loading equipment (e.g. a forklift), and for any risks associated with this process.

If a vehicle with a crane, lifting platform or other loading equipment is required due to local conditions or at the client’s request, this must be agreed separately in advance. Any additional costs arising from this shall be borne by the client.

If MWTG units reported as ready for collection are not available for collection in suitable condition on the agreed date, or loading is not possible, Eckelt reserves the right to invoice for wasted journeys, waiting times and any resulting costs.

Please note that if goods are collected from Eckelt by the client or by third parties acting on the client’s behalf, responsibility for the stillage also passes to the client upon handover of the goods. The client is obliged to return the racks to the Eckelt Glas GmbH factory in Steyr at their own expense and risk.

A rack rental charge will be applied eight weeks after delivery of the goods. Please refer to our terms and conditions of sale for all further provisions regarding reusable transport racks.
